Angela, Betsey, and I were excited to visit Downtown Disney once again. We went about a week after it re-opened and stopped by Salt & Straw for dessert. There were tons of new measures being enforced due to COVID-19. Cast members, operating participants, and guests all had to follow these guidelines to prevent being exposed and to spread this virus around. It was limited capacity to go inside Salt & Straw and we had to wait outside before allowing to enter. We were required to wear mask at all times. Samples were no longer allowed for the safety of their staff and consumers. The menu was also very limited with only a few options. Some of the top flavors were no longer offered during this time. I was happy to see that the Strawberry and Coconut Sorbet was still on the list. This is my favorite flavor because of the consistency of being refreshing and not boring. Angela got the Birthday Cake and Blueberries. This was one of the July’s special flavors that they offered. It was good, but I am not a huge fan of birthday cake. Glad Angela enjoyed it! We also ordered a couple of pints to take home, but this time we were not allowed to grab the pints ourselves. A staff member made sure to get everything pack and ready for us before we went back to pick it up before heading home.Â
Overall, this was a very interesting experience. There was a lot of things we had to be aware of and to make sure that we were safe as much as possible. So don’t forget to make sure to learn about all of the measures before heading over!Â
