Naples Ristorante e Bar at Downtown Disney ?

Angela, Betsey, and I ate lunch at Naples Ristorante e Bar at Downtown Disney once it re-opened. There were tons of new measures being enforced due to COVID-19. Cast members, operating participants, and guests all had to follow these guidelines to prevent being exposed and to spread this virus around. The front entrances of Naples was no longer open due to only outdoor dining during that time (in July 2020). There is an area that is roped off near the entrance. This is where you enter and follow the arrows until you reach the hostess who checks you in before seating at a table. I recommend making reservations ahead of time if you can!

We started with the Caprese Salad for our appetizer. The salad was served with heirloom tomatoes, mozzarella, basil, sea salt, and extra virgin oil. This appetizer was so refreshing and I really enjoyed the combination of the tomatoes and mozzarella. The tomatoes gave this dish a little juice and the cheese gave some texture. The basil and olive oil overall helped with adding some extra flavor. Betsey definitely approves!

Can we get a pizza of that again? We ordered a 20 inch (large) pizza. Half was Funghi and the other Margherita. The Funghi came with roasted mushrooms, tomato sauce, and mozzarella. The Margherita came with fresh mozzarella, tomato sauce, and basil. Both of these toppings were amazing. I can’t even choose between the two. The roasted mushrooms had so much flavor with every bite. The tomato sauce from the margherita was so refreshing! Sweet and tangy at the same time. The crunchiness of the breading is what makes the pizza a WOW factor in the end. Totally saying WOOHOO to wood-fire pizzas! And of course, this is Betsey’s special!
