Kyoto Poke & Ramen

Kyoto Poke & Ramen is an authentic Japanese restaurant located in Rancho Santa Margarita. All ingredients are prepared fresh daily and the tasty rich pork broth is boiled overnight.

The Miso Ramen is made with a pork broth and topped with pork chashu, bean sprouts, half an egg, mushrooms, green onions, and crispy onions. I felt the broth was not very rich and lacking in flavorful. More on the bland side. Could definitely be better. 🍜

We ordered a custom made poke bowl. Made with salmon, scallops, spicy tuna, white rice, red onions, green onions, and cucumbers. The poke and add-ons were very refreshing and simple. Too bad there was a lot of rice and not enough toppings to enjoy this bowl. 🐠

Appetizers here is hit and miss. I wouldn’t recommend getting the sushi rolls. It is not fresh. The soft shell crab is not bad. It does get soggy if you don’t eat it quick. 🍣🦀
